valentine’s day has always been a special holiday for me because it celebrates all forms of love—the kind you give, the kind you receive, and most importantly, the love you show yourself.
for this shoot, i wanted to create something deeply personal, a love note to myself, but also to black women everywhere. it was my first time assembling an all-black women team—photographer, makeup artist, stylist—each one bringing their unique energy to the vision.
what started as a dream jotted down in the notes app on my iphone slowly bloomed into one of my favorite photoshoots to date.
every detail, from the styling to the energy we created on set, felt like a tribute to the beauty, strength, and grace of black women, and it became more than just a photoshoot—it was an act of self-love and empowerment, a celebration of who i am and who we all are.
